Today is my 2nd day of maternity leave, and to sum up how it feels in one word, I would use "bizarre." Don't get me wrong, I love having a few days to get life in order, to cook meals for the freezer, and to relax a bit before she arrives- but it is a really weird feeling to not go to work each morning. I still haven't been able to turn off the Blackberry.
We would love for Blakley to arrive in the next couple days, so I am walking everyday and doing everything I can to encourge her along. In the meantime, I'm savoring this down time and am ecstatic knowing that our lives are about to change in the best way possible.
