Lazy Weekend

When Brent has to work on a Saturday we call it our "one day weekend." One day weekends mean we try to pack as much family time as possible into our Sunday together. Every morning when she wakes up B asks where her daddy is, and she is tickled pink when she discovers it's not a work day and that he's at home.

B and I spent Friday evening with friends for a picnic at Salt Creek Beach, and then did some sidewalk chalk coloring to welcome daddy home from work. Saturday included a fun adults-only birthday party while B got a playdate with her cousins at Gaga + Papa's house.

When asked what she wanted to do on Sunday, Blakley enthusiastically yelled, "the beach!" So off to the beach we went. She loves the beach, and really loves smashing the sandcastles daddy builds for her while we're there. Just another reason one of her nicknames is "Bam Bam."
